These are some pictures that we took the last time we went to Montana but I had to show them because the other thing that I loved about my trip this summer was just being in Montana. I truly love it there I think it is one of the greatest places on earth. I am so grateful to have grown up in such an amazing environment and I think no matter where I live Montana will always be home to me.

One of the highlights of my summer was our trip to Montana for my high school reunion. It was so great to see everyone and I am kicking myself for not taking a lot more pictures but here are a few. The expectations of a reunion are kind of weird but I have to say that everyone exceeded any expectations I may have had (in good ways). It seemed that everyone was still the same good and fun people that they always were just now with more life experience. I don't like to get sappy but I have to say that I felt so lucky to have such great people as my friends. I think that they are an exceptional group of people. And these pictures are of just a few of the many and great ones.

So on Aug. 8th 2008 Liam graduated from Kindergarten, it was a big day for him and he was excitedly looking forward to being a "grader".
His first day of 1st grade started on Aug. 25th. That morning after getting ready to go I said that we would leave in 5 minutes and Liam said "Mom can we go now? I have been waiting for this day my whole life!" So what was I to say to that, so we headed to for the car and on the way Liam said "I have worked so hard for this." He is such a great and funny kid he always makes me smile.
Summer Fun
Okay so I am not very good at keeping my blog updated but it has been a crazy summer. I am hoping now that school has started I might have a little more time.
So I wanted to give a quick update on recent events at the Darrington-Baird home. We got our pool done and the kids seemed to quickly take to the water (well McKinna did but her brother and his competitive spirit will not be outdone so he worked at it until he too was swimming like a fish). Liam was actually just looking over my shoulder at some pictures of himself and said "Hey, is that Michael Phelps?".
