P.S. Thank you to good friends who were willing to go at the drop of a hat, the trip would not have been nearly as fun without you! And thank you to Grandparents that take good care of our kids so we can have a break here and there.

Wicked
I finally got to see "Wicked"! A friend recently mentioned that it was playing in Phoenix and that maybe we should try and go. I thought that would be great but wasn't really sure if it would happen. Well the next thing I know Kade had found us all tickets. My mother in law generously agreed to come and stay with the kids, so it seemed to be a go, but I should know by now that good things don't come easy for me and this was no exception. The day before we were leaving McKinna wasn't feeling well. She had a bit of a fever and wasn't eating anything. Now the fever didn't worry me much but the fact that McKinna wasn't constantly asking for a snack made me realize that she really didn't feel well. My mother in law got to our house and I ran off to do a few quick errands and when I got home just before 5:00, McKinna was asleep in her bed. I went in to check on her and she was burning up. I took her temperature which registered at 107.5, thinking it had to be a mistake, I took it again and it didn't even say a number it just said HI. So I took my temperature and it was 97.8, I then took Mckinna's again and the next two readings were both 105.5 degrees. I quickly got her some Motrin and called the doctor, the nurse told me to get her in a cool bath and then take her to the ER. She was pretty out of it and when I was trying to get her in the tub, she threw up the Motrin. We finally got her to the ER where we spent the next five hours and who knows how much money for them to tell us that she had a virus. By the time we left, Mckinna was walking on her own and seemed to be doing much better. I, on the other hand had been working on a headache all day and by the time we left the ER, I was the one that nearly had to be carried to the car, and I was now using the bowl that we had taken with us for McKinna to throw up in. It was not a fun night to say the least, and I was not at all sure that the Wicked trip was going to happen. The story goes on but I will spare the rest of the details and skip to the good part. We did end up going on a very quick but FUN trip to see Wicked in Phoenix. I was worried that the show was not going to live up to all the hype but in my book it did and I can't wait for the next time I get to see it. I am just hoping to do away with all the drama beforehand!

I had no idea McKinna was that sick! Scary. I have had the virus, nothing we can do, please fork over $500 diagnosis a couple of times this year. I'm glad she is feeling better and that you were able to go.
I'm glad that this story had a happy ending. Now hopefully noone else will get it in your family.
I go in 6 days! Its my 3rd time but it is so good I would go 100 times!
I am glad that you were still able to go and that McKinna was ok!
